The beneficiary of this year’s Enloe Charity Ball is Neighbor to Neighbor.
Since 2004, the Enloe Charity Ball has raised funds and awareness for the work of nonprofits serving the greater Enloe community. Our student-led efforts have Enloe Charity Ball has raised $1,490,862 for area nonprofits, each of which was selected through an annual application process. Enloe Charity Ball received 17 applications from community nonprofits this year, on top of countless letters of interest, and we selected Neighbor to Neighbor (N2N) as the beneficiary of our 2023 fundraising efforts.
Our ambitious goal is to raise an amount to support the work and vision of Neighbor to Neighbor, and we need your help. We are energized by N2N’s mission to expand education access to underprivileged youth in the Raleigh area, with programs ranging from academic tutoring, to after-school enrichment, and asset development. Their numerous programs last year served 450 people each week in 2022. The students of N2N “grow three times faster than the national average – 1.5 grade levels a year.”. With volunteers producing over $240k in value each year, these 350 volunteers are heavily devoted to the success of younger students.
In the coming year, and with your support, Enloe Charity Ball will increase the long-term sustainability of N2N by investing in their infrastructure. N2N has received an increase in requests for academic tutoring. The funds raised by Enloe will directly result in N2N being able to pilot future events and tutoring hours, resulting in a more significant number of students seen and, ultimately, more lives touched by N2N.
