The beneficiary of this year’s Enloe Charity Ball is The Green Chair Project.
Since 2004, the Enloe Charity Ball has raised funds and awareness for the work of nonprofits serving the greater Enloe community. Our student-led efforts have raised $2,070,862 for area nonprofits through the Enloe Charity Ball, each of which was selected through an annual application process. Enloe Charity Ball received 18 applications from community nonprofits this year, on top of countless letters of interest, and we selected The Green Chair Project as the beneficiary of our 2026 fundraising efforts.
Our ambitious goal is to raise over $175,000 to support the work and vision of The Green Chair Project, and we need your help. We are energized by The Green Chair Project’s mission to provide furniture and essential household items that make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals and families overcoming hardship. Their numerous programs currently support thousands of households across the Wake County community.
In the coming year, with your support, the Enloe Charity Ball will increase the impact of The Green Chair Project by contributing funds toward its Sweeter Dreams Program — delivering over 1,300 beds to children without a bed of their own and providing over 1,200 families with household essentials, a 10% increase over last year. This support directly addresses the bed insecurity facing 1 in 30 Wake County children (roughly one in every classroom), ensuring every child has a bed of their own to build stability and inspire hope.
