As a freshman, I had a list of things I wanted to achieve this year. Near the top of this list was to be involved in the amazing work that is Enloe Charity Ball. While going to Carnage Middle for 3 years I was already introduced to the culture and atmosphere surrounding charity ball. To finally be able to have a leading part in this inspiring event is one of the best opportunities. Going first to Carnage and then Enloe, I know all the students come from different walks of life. It’s one of the things I love most about my school. But I also realize the struggles some of these students face. To see the challenges my peers, friends, and community around me face and being powerless to do anything about it was always frustrating. But now that I am on Student Council, I feel I can finally help put in action the change I want to see in the world. I am so blessed to have this opportunity. Seeing others who feel the same and give 100 percent inspires me to do the same. Being a part of enloe charity ball empowers me to be the best I can be so I can benefit and support my community.
