Kid Things

I remember sitting in the conference room last year at our Fall retreat and hearing a reflection from Etan Seebaluck about what Charity Ball meant to him, and as he was speaking he said something that still gives me chills; he said, “we are kids doing not kid things.”

I have the tremendous honor of being Enloe High School’s student council advisor. I am surrounded by students who are eager to see change in their community, and are willing to devote their time, energy, and passion to designing solutions for a future that reflects who they are and what they value most.

We are 36 days from this year’s Charity Ball, and the goal is $150,000. These kids are busy raising money, raising awareness, securing donations, volunteering, and planning events. They are also taking rigorous classes, playing varsity athletics, acting, dancing, singing, applying to college, and spending time with family and friends. I hope that you will join me in celebrating them as they take on this incredible task. They really are kids doing not kid things
