Pride

The students of Enloe High School have always taken pride not only in being part of the community but trying to help the community. In Raleigh, 1 in 30 children have experienced some form of homelessness.  In a typical classroom at Enloe, there are 20-30 students. When I look around my classroom, statistically, at least one of my classmates may be experiencing struggles regarding their financial or housing situation.

For the past 12 years, Enloe Charity Ball has chosen to benefit a local charity where the students of Enloe can be engaged and make a difference. Oak City Outreach reminds us that it is easy to forget how fortunate we are when we never have to wonder where our next meal is coming from or where we are sleeping for the night. We are reminded that there are those without, those who need our help and as a team we can help fight against hunger and homelessness in Wake County.

So I challenge you to step up, be part of our team and make a difference.  Donate to Enloe Charity Ball and help us help those in need. Be the person that can effect change and benefit our community. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi, The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.
