JOURNEY

Last year was the start of my journey as a member of Enloe’s Student Council. Throughout the course of this incredible journey into the land of student leadership I have had the honor and privilege to work with some amazing people. My peers in Student Council have shown me the true definition of hard work, as their dedication to making Enloe the best School it can be is at the top of all our priority lists!

A big part of the hard work that Student Council does every year is planning Enloe’s Charity Ball. This year’s organization, Southeast Raleigh Promise, is very deserving. Their mission is to provide access to health, educational and economic resources for poverty-stricken students and families along the Rock Quarry Road Corridor. Raising money to help this organization fulfill their mission will ensure that the students being served by Southeast Raleigh Promise have the same opportunities as we have here at Enloe.

When asked by other Enloe Students what being on Student Council means to me, my response is always the same: “Student Council is not only an organization that plans the Charity Ball and the other fun activities that take place throughout the year. Student Council is an organization that gives back and serves as a vehicle for students to help the community that they are apart of.”

I am very excited about this year’s Charity Ball and raising money for Southeast Raleigh Promise. I believe Enloe Student Council working together with Southeast Raleigh Promise is a true reflection of what giving back to your community really means.
