Scrolling through the many Charity Ball posts the day after Charity Ball 2024 and sharing all the exciting moments and memories created on Monday at lunch has been an experience I was not expecting to enjoy so much. Seeing that the fruits of our labor not only benefited our beneficiary but also created a memorable experience for the Enloe and Wake County community really gets you excited for the year to come!
As the 24-25 school year continued, I kept hearing conversations about the next Charity Ball and the prospective details around the event. I heard guesses about the beneficiary, the big five dress color, and even what the food would be. This year marks the 20th anniversary of Enloe Charity Ball, and all of these excited guesses demonstrate just how important Charity Ball has grown to be in the past 20 years. Building an event that over 1,000 people look forward to every year is no easy feat, and I am so glad I get to be a part of something bigger than myself. The anticipation and excitement that the community has built for this upcoming ECB has definitely encouraged us, student council members, to be even more conscious of what we are planning and preparing to present at Charity Ball this December. We have worked so hard and definitely want to give everyone an amazing night.
I am so excited to see just what we pull together in this last stretch of time leading up to ECB! Watching everyone start to find their dresses and suits, plan dinners, and hang out has shown me the importance of putting effort into your excitement and everything you do. If we, as a student council, did not have the community’s support, then we would not be able to execute ECB as well as we do. I love seeing everyone come together to support each other and have a good time!
