Passion

Coming into Enloe as a freshman, I didn’t know much about Charity Ball. I had heard about it in years past, but I knew it only as a dance that raised a lot of money. But I didn’t really understand what it all meant. It wasn’t until the Student Council fall retreat that the meaning behind Charity Ball came to me. It wasn’t until I saw the fire in people’s eyes, the passion for making a difference in our community, that I understood. Charity Ball is not just this big dance that raises money. Charity Ball is the result of a group of high school students with more determination and passion than I have ever seen in a group of people. Every single day I am inspired by how much Student Council genuinely cares about making a difference in our community. You see, it’s not just the money that’s the goal of Charity Ball, but also making people’s lives better. Putting a smile on someone’s face. The face of someone right here in our community. I am unbelievably grateful that I have this opportunity to make a difference. Grateful to share the passion for changing someone’s life. Grateful to have the fire in my eyes.
