dsc_0891One year ago, I wrote a blog post, similar to the one you are reading, about my hopes for Charity Ball 2015, in honor of Learning Together. I wrote, “When we look back on achieving our goal of raising $100,000 for Learning Together, we will experience pride and joy in knowing that the Enloe Community Jigsaw Puzzle is complete.” It is one year later, and my words hold true; I am joyful. Looking back, I am joyful that my community came together to positively impact so many of its families and children by raising $118,000 for Learning Together. Looking ahead, I am joyful that a new year has brought a new opportunity for the Enloe community to reach out; Charity Ball 2016, in honor of the Urban Ministries of Wake County, is less than two months away, and I could not be more excited. Charity Ball represents the power that a determined group of people has to create change within a community, and I continue to be astonished by the determination of my peers, teachers and friends as we work to reach our goal.  As we begin this season of service, I encourage you become involved. Whether it be a donation, the purchase of a ticket, or simply your support, your involvement is so appreciated. As I enter my third year of Charity Ball, I can say with confidence that the event has become what it is because of the support, financial or otherwise, of our community. We need you. Please become a piece of our puzzle. When we look back on achieving our goal of raising $120,000 for the Urban Ministries of Wake County, we will experience pride and joy in knowing that the Enloe Community Jigsaw Puzzle is complete.  Check out last year’s blog (http://enloecharityball2015.blogspot.com/) for more information about the impact of Charity Ball. And head over to charityball.webconnex.com/cb2016 to donate or buy a ticket. I hope to see you December 10!
