I still remember learning about Charity Ball at the beginning of Sophomore year and thinking it was ridiculous to have over 1,000 highschoolers at Marbles Kids Museum. Though I thought it was a crazy idea, I was excited to get my tickets right at 7pm. I remember the thrill of organizing dinner arrangements with my friends and getting to the dance, surrounded with old and new friends.

This year’s Charity Ball is more special than ever. With this being my first year on Student Council, I’ve enjoyed seeing the behind the scenes of it all. Realizing that this event, and most events that go on at Enloe, are mostly organized by students is heart warming and I’m very happy to be a part of it. I’ve always loved the fact that Charity Ball is in December because this is also my birth month, so it seems like I have two parties (even though one is not my party at all). But, since this year’s Charity Ball is on my 18th birthday, I am ecstatic to see the hard work of me and my peers pay off and have the ability to celebrate with my friends all on the same day.

The two Charity Balls I attended were two of the best nights of my life, so I know this third and final one will be a blast. I often think about what I would do to be able to experience it during my freshman year and have all four of my high school years paired with a Charity Ball, but instead of reminiscing the past, I cherish what’s happening now and the fun I’ll be having December 16th 2023 from 7PM-11PM.
