Full Potential

Ever since I went to elementary school in downtown Raleigh, I have been exposed to people, specifically kids, who are so gifted in so many ways. Luckily at my elementary school, we had a magnet program that provides free arts classes to the kids that attend the school to help them reach their full potential and help them find what their passion is. I was so fortunate to see my classmates’ talents and gifts come to fruition, but I know what me and my classmates were exposed to isn’t the case for every person.

Haven Houses’ mission to help every youth to reach their full potential completely aligns not only with my values that were implanted in me in my elementary school, but Enloe as well. Enloe has the same magnet program that fuels the passion that so many deserving students have. But not every child is given these opportunities, and Haven House wants to change that. They are truly committed to every single kid that walks through their doors and work tirelessly to make sure that every youth reaches their full potential. While taking my site tour of Haven House, I saw one of their many unique programs; Second Round Boxing and Fitness, that works to build skills of teamwork, leadership and healthy living.

Haven House also works to prevent gang involvement, assists in problems involving the juvenile justice system which is so unique in so many ways like making kids see how many opportunities their future holds for them. I am honored to be a part of an organization like Enloe Charity Ball that raises money for non profit organizations and completely overjoyed for our beneficiary to be Haven House.

I am not only ecstatic for the ball itself, but ECB is more than just the dance. It is a group of people working to serve the community and make a long-lasting impact on the beneficiary we serve. Please consider donating to Enloe Charity Ball so we can assist in giving Haven House their forever home.
