From Here on Out

This year is my final ride with Enloe Student Council. I was blessed with this opportunity and I have been thankful every step of the way. Under the mentorship and guidance of Ms. Schroeder and Mr. Barilich, I thrived not only as a council member but as a person. Each year has been a valuable learning experience for me.

My Sophomore and Junior year taught me that nothing should be taken for granted. Coming back to school after a pandemic, it was very difficult to have the initial motivation we had in past years. It was only through the leadership of the Big 5 for 2021-2022 that we were able to bounce back and find the drive to surpass our goal.

This year we are raising money for Alliance Medical Ministry. They provide comprehensive care to uninsured working adults. As a member of the Enloe Charity Ball, it is my job to serve my community as I would at my school. There are people who are uninsured who are the parents of those who could be one of my own friends. I am honored to be able to serve and raise money for Alliance Medical Ministry this year.

This will be my final Charity Ball. Everything that I have worked towards and built upon for the past 3 years has led up to this moment. Each year has taught me something about myself, and I am excited to find out what I’ll learn this year through serving and raising money for Alliance Medical Ministry. I never would have thought that my decision to join a school club would teach me so much. Thank you Enloe Student Council for giving me the privilege and honor to serve and the opportunity to learn. Thank you, students at Enloe High School for choosing me.
