2022 marks my second year of being in the Enloe student council. So far, it has been such a great experience and each year it gets better and better. This year’s beneficiary, Alliance Medical Ministry, is an organization I’m truly honored to advocate for. I’ve personally had people close to me who’ve experienced the struggles of finding affordable healthcare, so this is very near and dear to me.
When I first heard about Alliance Medical Ministry I was intrigued, but I didn’t fully understand the scope of their foundation. Last month I went on a tour to view Alliance Medical Ministry. The facility was very homey and organized and it felt like a place I wouldn’t mind staying if I was ever in a position where I needed quality affordable care.
But Enloe Charity Ball isn’t just about the experiences I get to be a part of, it’s so much more. Volunteering, fundraising; everything we do has a purpose. All of the opportunities I have been offered wouldn’t have been possible without a purpose, a cause to do what I do. Alliance Medical Ministry is an amazing organization and I can’t wait to present them with that check for $175k to them with expanding access. I am not only grateful to Enloe Charity Ball, but I am also so astounded and filled with gratitude for this organization that dedicates so much effort to help our community. Thank you, AMM, for the opportunities you have given me and my peers and the opportunities you provide for uninsured adults in our area.
