I joined Student Council during my Sophomore year of high school after a long year of limited social interactions during quarantine. As I placed my filled-out paper to join the club in the box, I looked at my friend and jokingly said, ‘I’m doing it for the plot.’ And I haven’t looked back since.
Engaging in the Student Council and immersing myself in a world of volunteering became a heartfelt commitment fueled by my peers and my genuine passion for making a positive impact. Being a part of this organization has been the highlight of my high school career, from my sophomore year to the present as a senior. I’ve cherished every moment of my journey, and I feel honored to have had the opportunity to create positive change for my community and leave an impact on future generations of Student Council members.
A profound joy comes from knowing that every effort, every initiative, is driven by the pure love of giving back to the community and creating a better environment for everyone. My favorite part is fostering a spirit of unity, compassion, and service, making connections that go beyond the classroom. Every task, no matter how small, becomes a labor of love. I believe that by contributing to the betterment of our beneficiaries through these roles, I am sowing the seeds of positive change that will endure long after my time here.
Anytime anyone asks me why I’m in the Student Council, I tell them, ‘I’m doing it for the love.’
