Whispering among my friends, laughing and joking about our day in our cabin at our retreat, I realized what great friendships Enloe Charity Ball has allowed me to form. I ran for council alongside my best friend, Penny, as a freshman. I did not know then what great experiences Charity Ball would bring to me and how close these experiences would pull us together.
Now, sitting among my groupmates brainstorming ways to fundraise for this year’s beneficiary, I realize how close I have become to everyone around me throughout Charity Ball seasons. From caroling to leaf raking, the kickball tournament to our fall retreat, I have formed long lasting bonds with my student council peers.
I am so grateful to have such an excellent group to fundraise with. Whether it is a short exchange with a child at a volunteering opportunity, or an exciting dinner before Charity Ball with fellow student council members, each time I spend with these friends has shaped me into the person I am today. I am so excited for another year of fundraising among the people I love for such an excellent organization. I look forward to strengthening my friendships fostered by Enloe Charity Ball.
