Hello, my name is Chloe Belk! I am a Junior at Enloe High School and a two time member of the Enloe Student Council. This year, I am a proud member of the executive branch. My Sophomore year and first year on council we raised $185,000 for Alliance Medical Ministry.
Learning how to connect with my peers and work together to reach this enormous goal was one of the best and most challenging experiences for me. It is unlike any other club and extracurricular activity to complete a fundraising goal of this size. The determination and passion of everyone involved helped to create an environment where both friendships and outstanding achievements can thrive simultaneously.
Due to the memorable time I had Sophomore year, I decided to run again for my Junior year. With more familiarity and knowledge of how things run, I am bringing the motivation and passion for younger council members. Being able to step up and pass down the knowledge that other people delivered is an incredible full circle moment.
Everyone on council is extremely friendly, passionate, and charismatic. Student Council has taught me that anything is possible with the right people and ambition; As Margaret Wheatley once said, “There is no power for change greater than a community discovering what it cares about.”
