From the outside, Enloe Charity Ball is one amazing night. But behind that night are many nights and many days of planning, fundraising, and teamwork. And every year, I see firsthand how hard each of my fellow Student Council members works to plan events, design posters, and spread the message of our cause. Caroling door-to-door, selling hot chocolate and coffee to students and staff, and endless planning all become worth it. Months of hard work and collaboration culminate in that one stupendous night. And on that night, when everyone is dancing and celebrating, and when the big five reveal the check together, is when I can truly feel the gratification of our hard work, and the change we’ve made in our community.
Enloe Charity Ball is more than a dance. It’s a reminder of what we’ve worked so hard for, as a council and as a community. And it’s a reminder of what we can accomplish when we care, when we show up, and when we work together toward a cause bigger than ourselves. And I’m proud to be a part of it.
